Questions

Q: Where can I get some?
A: You may purchase here very soon after the nutritional content testing and labels are completed. Or you may contact me for shipping some to you. If you are local, St. Petersburg FL area, we can meet.

Q: Are these all natural?
A: Yes, these are made by hand from a whole Turkey, Peas (or pumpkin, squash, sweet potato) and Water. They are made from Turkeys I purchase from Publix or Winn Dixie depending on price. In the future, hopefully I will be purchasing ingredients from a local farm that raises very high quality poultry.

Q: Why are they not perfectly shaped?
A: I make every single biscuit by hand, I make thousands small circles before dehydrating process. No two are the same and from my experience, dogs don’t really care!

Q: Are these good for my dog?
A: Yes, absolutely. I would not make them otherwise. You will be able to read the report from the laboratory to see exactly how good they are! By law however, I must state that these are a “treat” and not meant as a main diet.

Q: How long is the shelf life?
A: 4 to 6 weeks depending on humidity, temperature, and how they are stored. I have stored some for our dog that were in an air tight container, in a dark cupboard for two months without issue. I do not recommend freezing them or refrigerating them because when they thaw or warm, they draw in a lot of moisture here in Florida. There are NO PRESERVATIVES.

Q: Will there be more flavors?
A: Absolutely! I will have chicken, turkey, and “turchicken”. Beef too but, the price will be double that of poultry needless to say. Squash, peas, sweet potato or pumpkin also change up the flavors a little.

Q: Why do you use peas, sweet potato squash or pumpkin?
A: Flours like wheat and white are not really desirable for dogs. They have no health benefits. The veggies are are great for holding the biscuits together and are nutritional too. Without the veggies, the biscuits would crumble. I have also used acorn squash, pumpkin and similar orange colored squash. Buckwheat flour, not actually a flour but a ground seed, is also a great healthy option.
